Ipoh, Malaysia, the Youth Ministry had a devotional filled with fun, games, and spirituality. This week, after the songs and games, they had their youth draw out what the word “future” means to them. They were to use only red and black paint. At the end of their drawing, they were to explain the meaning of their art.

. In the bible lesson, Calvin, the youth leader, described that the two colours characterised relationship and friendship. As for the word “future”, it was to teach a point about the type of friendships that they form today; their friendships will strongly affect their future, whether good or bad. Proverbs 12:26 One who is righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. Proverbs 13:20 Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Proverbs 17:17 A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. Proverbs 18:24 There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
