Sarah is the youngest daughter of one of our deacons. With her baptism, all the members of the Tan family are now in the kingdom. We appreciate their love and faithfulness to God.

Claire was the last girl to be baptised in the youth ministry in 2011. She is a joy and is always smiling and encouraging. We are so happy for her baptism.

Eugene’s Baptism 27 Nov 2011

Eugene, a totally free thinker, attended our India HOPE for Youth mission last December. During that trip, he was so impacted by the friendship, devotion, and love he saw among the disciples and towards the poor orphans in India. He decided to attend church and study the bible after the trip. During his bible study, there were numerous obstacles including persecution. However, I admire his humility and eagerness to do what is right. He stood firm and made the decision to be baptised on 27 Nov, 2011, which is almost one year after the India HOPE for Youth trip. To God be the glory!

Jack’s Baptism 7 Nov 2011

Jack walked into our church with his family a few months ago. They were really curious about growing in their faith. His mother was baptised 3 weeks ago. Jack himself was very humble. He studied the bible eagerly but at the same time was not afraid to ask many questions about the faith. On 7 Nov, Jack decided to make Jesus the Lord of his life.

Love One Another Skits and Scenarios

The bible teaches us in 1Peter 1:22 that we should have sincere love for each others. It continued to emphasize this type of love with the phrase “love one another deeply, from the heart.” Our Campus and Youth Ministry decided to display a few scenarios and skits to learn experientially what it is to NOT live out this command and what it is to try to achieve this type of love. Joshua’s Baptism 24 September 2011

Joshua is the cousin of Erica and Lynn Ong. Even though Joshua was raised in a religious background, he was humble to seek after God and to learn what the bible teaches. There was no sense of pride. With great humility, he was convicted that though he loved God, he did not obey the bible according to God’s way. He wrestled for an entire year but finally made his decision to make Jesus the Lord of his life. We ar so proud of him

Serene and Christabella’s Baptisms 18 September 2011

Sunday 18 September, we saw two other teen girls baptised. It was exciting day. Serene came to church last year with Paul. At first, she was not too enthusiastic about it. She stopped coming for a while. But Paul perserved. She started coming again this year. And with the love from the POLY ministry, her love and understanding of God grew. This time there was not much struggle. The sisters said she was very open about her life and willing to do whatever it takes to be a Christian.

Christabella, is the daughter of Susan and Sam. Both Susan and Sam are faithful Christian serving the church powerfully. Christabella, struggled for a long time about God. She did not want to be a disciple and even struggled to come to church. But through perseverance and the love of God, her family, and the sisters, her heart opened. The turning point was the Bali Retreat where she ‘saw’ God in action through the lives of the disciples from other countries. After that it was never quite the same. Her eagerness increased and she was more than willing to be baptised.

Elaine and JinYang’s Baptisms on 9 and 11 September

Last weekend was another delight as we saw two more of our teens baptised. Elaine is the daughter of Joanne. Joanne is a single mom. It was difficult at first for Elaine to believe. She only came to church because she was obedient. But her heart changed after the Bali Teens Retreat in June. It was another testimony of how powerful our God is and inspiring the love of the kingdom. Watch her baptism video and listen to the heart wrenching sharing by her mother.

JinYang is Jason’s old school mate and is currently studying in the Polytechnic. They played basketball together. This is the good news of how friendship turned into brotherhood. JinYang was very eager to study the bible and decided to make Jesus Lord of his life.

Hannah’s Baptism 22 July 2011

Hannah was baptised on 22 July. We had quite an emotional baptism as Hannah made a video to express her gratitude to her father. This was the first time one of our teens made a video for their parents. Usually it is the other way around. I appreciate Hannah’s heart and her love for God. She struggled for quite a while but finally she too decided that Jesus was the better choice in her life.

Neal and Sherwin’s Baptism 10 and 15 July 2011

Last week, we saw two baptisms in the youth ministry – Neal and Sherwin. I appreciate both of the boys as they were both very eager to seek after God. They were eager to initiate time to get together. Neal is the second son of Steven and Jennifer Goh. Neal’s heart made a complete turnaround when he attended the Bali Teens Retreat a few weeks ago. Sherwin has always loved God. His mother shared that he was very sentimental about his walk with God. Below are the videos of their baptisms.
