This Too Shall Pass (Inspirational Video-Poetry)

This Too Shall Pass (written by Helen Steiner Rice)

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-

If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-

If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that this will pass away, too-

Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains

That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.

Water is PRECIOUS – I am grateful

This is an inspiring and convicting video. So often, we take our water, and yes, even what we have in life for granted. God has given us so much. Let’s really appreciate what we have and be thankful to God. Not only so, let’s use what we have to help the less fortunate.

Does Anybody Hears Her?

Compassion, that was the heart of Jesus. Jesus hears when no one else hears. Jesus sees when no one else pays attention. He feels when we are callously doing our own things. He knows when we are too busy with our worries. So often we go about our days without noticing the pains and lostness of our friends and those who are around us. Jesus challenges us to hear, notice and to reach out to the people around us. Enjoy the music video below from Casting Crowns on this subject.

John 4:7-10 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."

John 4:35 Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields!

My Redeemer Lives – Team Hoyt

This is a video about a father and son relationship. So inspiring. The son, Rick, is paralysed. Yet Dick and Rick Hoyt are a father-and-son team from Massachusetts who together compete just about continuously in marathon races. And if they’re not in a marathon they are in a triathlon — that daunting, almost superhuman, combination of 26.2 miles of running, 112 miles of bicycling, and 2.4 miles of swimming. Together they have climbed mountains, and once trekked 3,735 miles across America.

It’s a remarkable record of exertion — all the more so when you consider that Rick can’t walk or talk. But because Rick loves to race, his father decided to carry his son’s burden with him so that his son can enjoy his life. The weight of his son is not a burden because he loves his son so much. Isn’t this so with God who carries us through all the troubles and challenges of our lives just so that we can enjoy our lives. Watch and be inspired. Two points that we can learn:

Ps 68:19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. God cares. And he is always there. There to carry our burdens and troubles in our lives. As a father cares for his child, so God cares for us.

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Let’s also imitate and carry each other’s burden as in Galatians 6:2
